    SOLD~16′ Hacker Design Gentleman’s Runabout

    Built in 2013,the boat is a 1928 design Hacker, Gentleman’s Runabout. The hull is cold molded double planked sides and triple planked bottom, with ribbon stripe Sapele deck.

    Power is a completely restored 215 cu. in. Buick V8 (Gray Marine) all aluminum engine with a closed cooling system. Power is transferred via a 1:1 ratio C-71 Borg Warner Velvet Drive transmission, 1 inch monel stainless shaft and 3 blade 12 x 15 Nibral propeller.

    The boat runs nice and is capable of 40+mph. The boat comes with a custom fit mooring cover and galvanized trailer, road worthy and ready to go!

    1939 Lightning sailboat “Splash”

    In the shop is a beautiful little sailboat, a 1939 Lightning sailboat named “Splash”. Her owner is very fond of her and brought her in for some work, both major and minor.

    The original transom was beginning to rot, as were the planks on the port side right at the transom. We removed the old transom and fashioned a new one out of mahogany. We replaced two transom frames as well, as the rot had begun to creep a bit. We then moved on to cutting out the aft sections of the port side planks. They were shiplap cedar. We then scarfed in new cedar planks and buttoned up the hull. She’s ready for paint and stain next!
